Try to define interfaces with other developers before coding starts

  • Ideally, interfaces with other developer’s code should be defined before coding starts.
  • Write a simple test stub to perform the functions of the interface component if it is not available when testing begins.
  • Meet with the author of the component to get an idea on what that interface will do and what it should look like.
  • But, understand that this interface will probably change if it has not been formally defined yet.
